  Update: We have three pairs of these shorts in different colors and unfortunately, one pair (purpleish-blue) have ripped a hole along the seam in the back (the seam that runs up and down and holds the two pieces together). The shorts remain baggy my very thin girl, so it’s not that they stretched too tight. It looks like the fabric along the seam started fraying. I’m still keeping the 5 star review because these things happen with fabrics. If it happens with another pair, I’ll lower the rating.

  Just as other reviews mentioned, these shorts run big - I’d say at least a full size larger. But, I’m not deducting a star because they are comfortable and seem to be well-made.
  My girl is 9 1/2, tall for her age, and very thin.
